His younger half-brother James recalls the old typewriter thundering through the fabric of the family home. Radio Series Producer Geoffrey Perkins and Douglas Adams official biographer Nick Webb shed more light on his struggles. (Sadly, Perkins and Webb also died unexpectedly, way too young, as per their famous friend.)
